Key Message board

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a fabulous second week here at school. The children have settled very well into the new routines and procedures. We have been working hard to make things as normal and fun as possible. We are so lucky to have such a lot of outdoor space which the children enjoy using. In Key Stage 2 (Yrs 3 – 6) we now have Brentford sports coaches working with the children every lunchtime using our amazing outside space to organise games and activities.

We are getting a lot of queries from parents as to whether they should send their child to school or not, if for example, they have a runny nose. Please ring us if you are unsure but the symptoms you need to look out for are a persistent ongoing cough, a high temperature and/or a loss of taste or smell. If your child has one of those symptoms then you do need to get a COVID test before they return to school. Access to testing is very challenging at the moment Please call 111(for health queries) and 119 (for testing) as they can give good advice.  You can also call the school office for advice too. We understand this is a difficult time but our priority is educating the children safely and we are committed to this.

There is a lot of information about the return to school on the COVID-19 web page, including a video return to school video and a social story to show your child, and some FAQ which we hope will answer any questions that you may have.

There is also a new section on Well-being in the ‘our school’ section.

Have a great weekend.

Ms O’Hara
